TO Computer-Aided Designing & Drafting

Computer-Aided Designing (CAD) Is the use of computer software to design, modal, analyze, edit and publish designing works in various fields. Some maybe this is directly dealing with the engineering profession. But it is wrong, it is also referred to graphic designing, jewelry designing, Textile Industry, 3D Printing, etc.

The first CAD program was called "PRONTO" developed in 1957 by Dr. Patrick J. Hanratty. Since then the development of the industry, Developers had been able to remove the traditional drawing board from designers' hands.
The people who are expert in these CAD has many opportunities in the industry. As an engineer, I am feeling the advantages and the wonder of that software. Actually this is an interesting subject.
Who works in the Engineering field has taken advantage of delivering efficient, error-free, nor over design or under-designed design to their client or employees. CAD helps to see the final product in virtual space. For example, an architect can modal his new house design in 3D modeling software and render it to real-world appearance and present it as a video clip that shows the client how the house inside and outside will be, after construction. And also analysis of materials, colors, lighting, ventilation, temperature, etc allow going for more design options and alternatives. Structural engineers can do more detailed design for the concept of the architect using structural designing software. Using the correct properties of the material (Concrete, Reinforcement, etc) and loadings, they are allowed to modal the structure and analyze it.
Product designers models their product in 3D, do analysis (For failures, Durability, lifetime), detail drawing. Service plans, water distribution, waste management, Electricity, MEP Services have many things to do with this software.
There are many software developers involving in this CAD software. Dou to competition among them, they every year upgrade their software considering many factors like new requirements generated in the industry, User comments, efficiency of designing and other technical support that can be delivered with the product. Some companies offer a set of software in one package as a suite that solves all industry requirements.
Flexible licensing, trial & Free student versions, Cloud storage, Cloud base modeling & rendering, BIM Compatibility, Online training, Certification programs are some of the other value additions offered with the software by the developers.
